Our Community

Binger-Oney community is geographically located seventy miles southwest of Oklahoma City.  It is located in the northern half of Caddo County.  The community includes a rural area centered around the small towns of Binger and Albert (Oney).  The population of this area is approximately 1500.

The area is a diversified agricultural area.  Cotton, wheat, potatoes, peanuts, vegetables, hay, and livestock are grown and marketed in the surrounding community. Because the production and marketing of these crops require much labor, seasonal and permanent job opportunities are available.  The seasonal jobs normally extend from six to nine months.

Two oil related industries are in operation near Binger. These employ a number of people.

Caddo Electric Cooperative, which is our local Rural Electric Cooperative, is located three miles west of Binger.  It serves electricity to all or part of eight counties.

This cooperative, and Imation production plant (3M) in Weatherford offer job opportunities to the residents of the Binger-Oney area.

In addition to these employment opportunities, a fifty-bed nursing home provides employment for this area.  Although Binger is a small town, the people are fortunate to have a part-time doctor and clinic.  Adjacent to the clinic is the pharmacy owned and operated by a qualified pharmacist.

Parkview Ambulance services this area and two volunteer fire departments are available to the citizens of the Binger-Oney community.
